About
MyHouseDesk started from a small, annoying observation: almost every household runs on information nobody has a proper place for. The insurance renewal that arrives by email in March. The warranty receipt in the kitchen drawer. The boiler service certificate that exists only as a photo on somebody's phone.
None of it is complicated. It is just scattered, and scattered information has a way of becoming expensive — the policy that auto-renews at a worse price, the warranty that ran out a month before the machine broke, the test that lapsed without anyone noticing.
So this is a desk. One place for the paperwork, the dates and the details a home runs on, with something watching the calendar so you don't have to. It is deliberately not a chore app, not a budgeting app and not a smart-home app. Those exist and some are good. This one is about the administration.
The two things we care most about getting right are that it should be almost no work to put something in, and that your documents should be genuinely private. Everything else follows from those.
